REPORT: Colts Not Expecting Luck Back, Expected to Look for New QB

If you're holding out hope that Andrew Luck will return, Jim Irsay and the Colts aren't optimistic. The team owner spoke with NFL.com's Ian Rapoport and said that the franchise is not expecting Luck to come out of retirement, so they're proceeding as if that's not an option.

After a solid start, Jacoby Brissett dissolved down the stretch, and at 27 years old, there's not much reason to think he's going to be anything more than he currently is - a decent stopgap. While Irsay didn't go as far as to say that Brissett absolutely wasn't the guy, Rapoport wrote that the expectation is the Colts will be in the market for a quarterback in 2020.
