The Patriots sent a video crew to the Bengals-Browns game last Sunday where they admitted to "inappropriately" filming the field from the press box, but claimed it was all for a "Do Your Job" web series on the team website, Patriots.com.
Over a decade since SpyGate, many aren't willing to give New England the benefit of the doubt for what the team says was an unintentional violation of league policy:
At best, this is supreme negligence by the Patriots organization, especially after being embroiled in a huge controversy involving cameras in the not-to-distant past. At worst, it's another thinly veiled attempt to cheat by videotaping signals. Yes, the Bengals are the NFL's worst team at 1-12, but they also have a first-year head coach and first-year defensive coordinator. Coincidence?
