When I saw the Myles Garrett/Mason Rudolph incident last night, my reaction wasn't unique - I was as shocked as everyone else.. I don't think I've ever seen a player swing another player's own helmet at his head. Just in case you somehow missed it, here's the video:
Cleveland only has six games left and you'd have to imagine that a season-ending suspension (and a hefty fine) is in play here. I'm willing to excuse most actions in the heat of the moment, but Garrett's act was egregious. Had that helmet connected cleanly and in a different place, it could've seriously injured - or even killed - Rudolph. Expect the NFL's punishment to send the message that something like this is beyond unacceptable.
