The Colts were impressed with Chad Kelly this preseason, but not impressed enough to save a spot on their 53-man roster.
After activating him from the reserve/suspended list, Indianapolis waived Kelly today:
Kelly could still be retained by the Colts, but he'd have to clear waivers. It doesn't seem that'll happen, with the wave of quarterback injuries that we've seen across the league, but if it does, Kelly will be likely be re-added to the practice squad.
