Castonzo Deal Imminent?

Anthony Castonzo is the last position player to call Peyton Manning a teammate. Yes, he didn't technically play a single snap with #18, who was injured for Castonzo's entire rookie year of 2011, but the soon-to-be nine-year veteran is the second-longest tenured Colt, behind only Adam Vinatieri.

Castonzo would like to remain in Indy. He said the other day that it would be "great" to get a contract extension before the start of this upcoming season and that "everything would take care of itself".

While he's never made a Pro Bowl, Castonzo has been invaluable because of his reliability and solid play. He has started all 116 games he's played in and missed just eight games in his last seven seasons. For an offensive line that has been overhauled several times, and seemingly dealt with constant injuries, Castonzo's availability has been important.

I don't see any reason why this deal wouldn't eventually get done and hopefully it'll happen before the opener in L.A.
