50th Anniversary of Man on the Moon

It’s estimated that 500 million people around the world watched the moon landing on July 20, 1969.

While it was a historic day nationally, a sense of pride was especially felt in Indiana, given Neil Armstrong’s connection to Purdue University.

In all, Purdue has produced 25 astronauts on U.S. spaceflights, including Armstrong (the first on the moon) and Gene Cernan (the last).

If you’re old enough to remember - you’d have to be nearly 60 - what do you recall of that historic night in 1969? Leave your memories on our Fox Sports 1260 Facebook page.
