If you would've over/under on Pacers' in-house free agents to re-sign at 0.5, who would've known the under would hit? Of the seven unrestricted free agents from the 2018-19 team, not a single player will return for the 2019-20 Pacers.
Wesley Matthews (Bucks) and Kyle O'Quinn (Sixers) were the last two to sign and each bolted for veteran minimum deals yesterday:
Honestly, change is good. Bogdanovic, Young, and Collison were the most productive of that group, but Bogey got a significant raise, Young was pushed out by the T.J. Warren deal and a crowded frontcourt, and Collison may have been back if not for his shocking decision to retire.
With where we sit today, it's very likely the Pacers' opening day starting lineup looks something like this:
Malcolm Brogdon (sign-and-trade)
Jeremy Lamb (signed as a free agent)
T.J. Warren (acquired via trade from Phoenix)
Domantas Sabonis (promoted)
Myles Turner (returning starter)
There are still a couple of more roster spots to fill, but for the second time in the last three years, the Pacers have undergone almost a complete overhaul.
