Andrew Luck No Longer Among Top Ten Highest-Paid Quarterbacks

Fewer than three years ago, Andrew Luck signed the largest contract in NFL history - $140 million total ($24.6M/season) - to remain a Colt. Today, he's barely hanging on to a spot among the top-third highest-paid quarterbacks in the league.

Luck has fallen to the 11th highest-paid quarterback in the NFL and his contract now looks like a bargain when compared to what Wentz, Derek Carr, Kirk Cousins, and Jimmy Garoppolo are making. Here's the list before Wentz's extension, which rockets him to fourth and bumps Luck back to the #11 slot:

Luck is halfway through his current extension, which runs through the 2021 season, so you'd have to assume things will reset in 2022, but this just shows how quickly contracts can escalate at the sport's most important position.
