Some fans were frustrated that the Colts didn't go on a spending spree during free agency in March, but a big ticket item has unexpectedly hit the open market in May: Gerald McCoy.
A three-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowler, McCoy has been one of the best interior defensive lineman in the NFL in the 2010s. He just turned 31, but had a solid 2018 season as a 30-year old, recording six sacks and earning a decent PFF grade (78.6). He's also viewed as a terrific leader and locker room guy, something that Chris Ballard has clearly put an emphasis on.
The Patriots, Jaguars, Cowboys, and many others are expected to be interested in McCoy, so the Colts will have to be aggressive if they want him.
