It seems odd that the Colts didn’t come to terms with Dontrelle Inman, but while they were holding off, the free agent has been scooped up by the hated Patriots.
After taking a visit to Detroit a few months ago, Inman reportedly signed on the dotted line after spending time with New England today:
Inman, who was added after the receiver-starved Colts fell into a 1-5 hole, performed admirably with 28 catches for 304 yards and 4 touchdowns. By the end of the season, he was arguably the Colts' WR2, easily working his way past Ryan Grant, Chester Rogers, and others.
He joins a crowded receiver room in New England with Julian Edelman, former Colt Philip Dorsett, and new additions Demaryius Thomas and first round pick N'Keal Harry. The Colts, meanwhile, have a large depth chart of their own, led by TY Hilton, new acquisition Devin Funchess, Parris Campbell, Deon Cain, and Chester Rogers, among others.
