It's long been assumed that Romeo Langford, despite a somewhat underwhelming one-and-done season at Indiana, would still wind up in the NBA Draft Lottery. However, at least one projection has the former New Albany star falling out of the lottery and into his home state Pacers at 18th overall.
Gary Parrish, Boone's colleague at CBS, has Langford going ten picks higher - to Memphis at #8 - so it just goes to show you how all over the map these projections are.
Regardless, the thought of Langford being available to the Pacers in the first round is interesting. He still has the potential and the measurables to be a good NBA player, but can he handle the pressure of staying in his home state after a difficult college season in Bloomington? Can his shooting develop to the point where the Pacers need it to be? Is it too much of a risk?
