The Colts have plenty of talent in their backfield, but what they don't have is a veteran running back. That changed this morning when Indianapolis signed Spencer Ware:
The 27-year old Ware spent the last four seasons in Kansas City where he started 18 games - including the entire 2016 season - and ran for a total of 1,570 yards. He has 40 career games under his belt and was acquired by the Chiefs when Chris Ballard was in their front office (2015).
Ware is the fourth member of Indy's young backfield, which includes projected starter Marlon Mack, and two players who saw plenty of action as rookies last year in Nyheim Hines and Jordan Wilkins.
