Chet Coppock, a one-of-a-kind sportscaster who was an icon in Indianapolis broadcasting, has tragically passed away. He was 70 years old.
Coppock was in Indy from 1974-81 at WISH-TV before leaving for his hometown of Chicago, where he was also an icon in both TV and sports radio. He even earned a spot in the Chicago Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
He joined our show in August of 2014 to talk about his then-new book, "Laying it On the Line" and spoke about his not-so-rosy divorce from WISH/Indianapolis... which included a phone call from Bob Knight:
R.I.P. to an Indy icon and the Godfather of Chicago sports talk radio.
