The 2019 College Basketball Hall of Fame class will have a very Indiana feel. Highlighted by IU great Calbert Cheaney and Purdue legend Terry Dischinger, the class was formally announced today:
Cheaney, a three-time All-American at Indiana, is still the Big Ten's all-time leading scorer, even though his career ended a quarter-century ago. Dischinger was also a three-time All-American at Purdue in the early 1960's and earned a gold medal with Oscar Robertson on the 1960 Olympic team.
Homer Drew, who won 371 games in 22 seasons at Valparaiso, is also part of the class, as is Rick Majerus. A national finalist in 1998, Majerus also led Ball State to success in the 1980s.
