It's been a somewhat trying year for Brad Stevens. The Celtics are thirteen games over .500, but many were expecting more out of a talented group coming off back-to-back East Finals appearances. That said, they can still pass the Pacers for the #4 seed, who they play twice in the next week. and can kick it into gear come playoff time.
We talked to the Celtics head coach on yesterday's show about some of those ups and downs, the importance of homecourt advantage, and his impressions of this year's Pacers, but the most interesting bit of our conversation wasn't sports-related at all... it was about politics.
South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg bears a striking resemblance to Stevens, speaks similarly, and even has some of the same mannerisms. Stevens revealed to us that he's a big Buttigieg fan and many friends/family have made the same comparison:
