When Romeo Langford was a surprise scratch prior to last night’s NIT opener against Saint Francis, many assumed that meant the freshman might be done at Indiana.
Well, that’s still yet to be determined, but Archie Miller swears Langford’s back injury is legitimate. He expanded on it during last night’s press conference:
Miller went on to say that Langford wouldn’t have played even if they had an NCAA Tournament game last night.
Should we buy that? Eh. If Romeo was choosing to sit out, that’s his decision - it’s his NBA future, not mine - and the timing of this out-of-nowhere back “tweak” seems suspicious, but we’ll see if he’s ready later this week.
The Hoosiers will get the Arkansas in the next round this weekend.
