The Colts have the most spending money in the league - everyone knows that - but rarely are there players worth breaking the bank for in free agency.
However, if the Giants are serious about not tagging him, Landon Collins could be an exception to the rule:
The 25-year old was an All-Pro in 2016 and has made the last three Pro Bowls. It's odd to think that the Giants would allow him to walk out the door, but that franchise has crumbled over the past few seasons.
From the Colts' perspective, Collins would be a much-needed playmaker at the peak of his prime. Given Malik Hooker's and Clayton Geathers' (who is also a free agent) injury histories, investing in Collins, who has only missed five games in four NFL seasons, makes a lot of sense.
Collins will draw significant interest from NFL teams, but no one has the wiggle room that Indianapolis does.
