Le'Veon Bell Will Become a Free Agent

The Colts enter the 2019 offseason with the most money to spend in the NFL (about $107 million in cap space). Could they use a chunk of that on one of the most prolific running backs in the league?

After sitting out a drama-filled 2018 season, Pittsburgh isn't going to attempt to keep Le'Veon Bell, the team announced today:

Bell, a two-time All-Pro, is just 27 years old, and accounted for nearly 2,000 total yards during his last active season (2017). However, his fight with the organization over a long-term extension created a divide in the locker room and ultimately led to a divorce with Pittsburgh.

While the Colts certainly have the money to make it happen, they've used three draft picks in the last two years on running backs. Their RB1, Marlon Mack, had a breakout season, compiling over 900 rushing yards in just twelve games.
