First Big QB Domino of Offseason Falls

The new league year doesn't begin until mid-March, but that doesn't prevent wheeling and dealing in February! According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Broncos and Ravens have agreed in principle to a trade involving veteran QB Joe Flacco.

Flacco was benched last season in Baltimore and it was obvious that the 34-year old was going to need a new home. Denver has gone through four quarterbacks since Peyton Manning retired following their Super Bowl win in 2015, and this is their latest attempt at finding a new franchise guy. Reports are that Flacco will have to re-structure his deal - he's still owed $63 million from the contract extension he signed in 2016.

Despite being a Super Bowl MVP in 2012, Flacco has never made a Pro Bowl or All-Pro team, and has appeared to be declining over the last few seasons. Baltimore was just 42-41 in his starts following that championships.
