The Pacers were worried that Victor Oladipo's knee injury was serious and those fears were confirmed today with the results of his MRI:
It's no surprise that the All-Star guard will miss the season. However, what remains to be seen, is how much this injury/rehab eats into the 2019-20 season. For reference, Thunder guard Andre Roberson, who ruptured his patella tendon last season, still has not returned. He had to undergo a second procedure after a setback, which is something Oladipo may or may not face, but that underlines the severity of the injuries like this. If you want some hope, Tony Parker ruptured his quad and returned in seven months.
Regardless, it appears that Oladipo is looking at a 9-12 month rehab for a rupture. Even if it's on the lower end, it'll be a long road to get back in time for the start of the 2019-20 season.
