Jimmy Rayl, one of the greatest shooters in Indiana’s proud basketball history, sadly passed away today.
The Kokomo native spent his entire hoops career in the state of Indiana. He was the 1959 Mr. Basketball, a two-time All-American at IU, and played on the first two Pacers teams (1967-69).
He still holds the single-game scoring record at Indiana University (56 points), which he accomplished twice, and may never be broken.
R.I.P. to a Hoosier legend.
