Saturday was a rough afternoon for Adam Vinatieri.
The NFL's all-time points leader missed a chip shot 23-yard field goal and an extra point in the Colts' season-ending loss at Kansas City, and with his contract expiring in March, there's been a lot of talk about his future. GM Chris Ballard is reportedly going to sit down with the 46-year old later this week to talk:
Vinatieri still had a solid season in his 23rd NFL campaign. He made 85% of his kicks overall and was 9-for-12 from 40+ yards (4-for-6 from 50+). However, he battled injury issues and at 46, it certainly doesn't appear he's going to get better than where he already is.
Should the Colts keep Vinatieri as long as he wants to play or decide to move on from the surefire Hall of Famer? Leave your take on our Fox Sports 97.5 Facebook page.
