Andrew Luck is a virtual lock for the Comeback Player of the Year Award, but could he also couple that with an MVP?
It's not likely - thanks a lot, Drew Brees! - but Luck is getting mentioned in the MVP race by several in the national media, including Fox Sports Radio's Colin Cowherd:
After missing the entire 2017 season, there was some question whether Luck would be able to return at all, much less play at an MVP-level, yet #12 is turning in a career year. Luck is on pace for 4,500+ yards, and set to shatter personal highs for completion percentage (63.5%, is currently at 68.4%) and touchdowns (40, already has 32 this year). He also has a chance to make history if his current 3+ touchdown streak continues:
It'll be nearly impossible to top Brees, who broke the NFL's career passing record last month, is the best player on the best team, and is turning in a monster year at the age of 39, but the fact that Luck is even in the conversation shows how far he's come in the last thirteen months.
