Victor Oladipo had a breakout season in his Pacers' debut, earning the NBA's Most Improved Player Award as well as Third Team All-NBA and First Team All-Defensive honors. Those accolades weren't enough to put the 25-year old among the Top 10 or Top 15 players in the league, though, at least not according to Sports Illustrated.
SI.com has ranked the Top 100 players in the NBA and Oladipo came in at 20th - one spot behind the guy he was traded for (Paul George, 19th):
There are some guys ahead of Oladipo (Al Horford??) that I disagree with, but for the most part, I would also place him in the 15-20 range... just like where Paul George is/was.
Can he become an MVP candidate and inch closer to that top tier, sure, but if Oladipo can even maintain the level that he was on in the 2017-18 season, I think Pacers fans should be more than content with that.
