It was actually a good day of NASCAR racing yesterday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which was a pleasant surprise given the lack of action recently by stock cars on the famous oval.
However, as it has in the past, controversy over driver celebrations on the Yard of Bricks has revved up again. RTV6 Sports Director Dave Furst snapped this photo of the bricks following the celebrations of both Justin Allgaier and Brad Keselowski:
Some didn't think it was that big of deal, but many fans/media (especially here in Indianapolis took offense to it:
My take: the Indianapolis Motor Speedway specifically asks drivers not to do burnouts on the bricks, so I think they should honor that request.
