Today marks an important anniversary in Colts' history: the drafting of Peyton Manning.
Opinions differ as to whether the Colts were seriously considering taking Ryan Leaf at #1 instead, but thank goodness they didn't. Not only could the same fate have awaited them as it did San Diego - the Colts may not have ended up staying in Indianapolis without the success of the Peyton Era.
The Colts are still hopeful that they have their heir apparent in Andrew Luck, but obviously, his health remains a gigantic question mark.
