Peyton Turns Down $10 Million/Year TV Gig

Despite a strong push from both ESPN and Fox, Peyton Manning will not be in a broadcast booth for the 2018 season.

Manning reportedly turned down offers as high as $10 million/year to help call NFL games - a large sum of money for most people, but not necessarily for someone of Peyton's means. At this point, the most likely scenario for Manning is to once again spend the NFL season without an actual football job. However, that doesn't mean that an eventual spot in a broadcast booth or in an NFL front office isn't in his future.

I believe that Manning will eventually find his way back to football. In what capacity? That remains to be seen.
