Donte Moncrief's breakout season never got off the ground in 2017. The 24-year old had a disappointing 26 catches in twelve games, and his attitude was questioned.
However, the Colts only have two wide receivers under contract, and with a light free agent market and an unproven draft class, I actually think Indy should try to bring Moncrief back:
If we're to assume Andrew Luck returns healthy, Moncrief was a favorite target of his, particularly in the Red Zone. Moncrief scored 13 touchdowns in just 25 games in the 2015-16 seasons with Luck under center, and had a career-high 105 targets in 2015. He won't turn 25 until August, and still seemingly could be a capable #3 target, at worst.
Other teams, like the Ravens, who are rumored to be interested, could be trying to pry him away:
