Who is Leslie Frazier?

The Colts wrapped up those third interview in coaching search #2 with Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier yesterday.

Frazier, 58, was part of two of the greatest teams in Indianapolis Colts history - the 14-win 2005 team and the 2006 Super Bowl XLI champions - as a defensive assistant. He was Tony Dungy's associate head coach on the title-winning squad.

He had an unimpressive three-plus year run (2010-13) as head coach in Minnesota, going 21-32-1 with a one-and-done playoff appearance in 2012. Since then, he's run the defenses in Tampa Bay (2014-15) and Buffalo (2016), with a stop in between in Baltimore as a defensive backs coach (2016).

Frazier's age (he'll be 59 in April) and background as a defensive coach, doesn't fit the original criteria of GM Chris Ballard. However, he's reportedly a favorite of Irsay family and has the backing of Dungy, who I'm sure still pulls some weight with the franchise.
