After months of speculation, it appears the NBA All-Star Game is coming back to Indianapolis in 2021!
This will be Indy's second time as a host city - they held their only ever NBA All-Star Weekend back in 1985. While those festivities were split between the old Market Square Arena and Hoosier Dome, Indiana Sports Corp President Ryan Vaughn told us earlier this month that the Indy bid would put all of the basketball events at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The addition boosts an already loaded 2021-22 events calendar for our city:
February 2021: NBA All-Star Game
April 2021: NCAA Final Four
January 2022: College Football National Championship
That doesn't even include the annual Indy 500, the Big Ten football Championship (signed through 2021), and the return of the Big Ten men's basketball Tournament (2020 and 2022).
