The NBA champion Warriors haven't yet been invited to visit the White House, a championship tradition for American pro teams, but if they are, their Finals MVP won't be attending.
Kevin Durant said he'd pass because he "doesn't respect who is in office right now". He expanded on those comments with this:
Durant, a D.C. native, grew up about 11 miles from the White House. He isn't the first player to boycott a team visit - we saw that happen during both the George W. Bush and Barack Obama presidencies.
