Re-visiting The Colts 2015 Free Agency Class

With Kendall Langford's release yesterday, Frank Gore is the last remaining member of the Colts' heralded (at the time) 2015 free agency class. Here's a look back on a group that was unable to push Indianapolis over the top...

Kendall Langford (4 years, $17.2M): Played well before getting hurt last season – had made 135 consecutive starts before being placed on IR. Only $2.5M of the total contract was guaranteed, and the Colts saved $4M by releasing him.

Frank Gore (3 years, $12M): Gore has made this contract look like a bargain, as he’s rushed for just under 2,000 yards and 10 TD in starting all 32 games the last two seasons.

Andre Johnson (3 years, $21M): set career-lows for a full season with just 41 catches and 533 yards. Released after one season.

Trent Cole (2 years, $16M): after 85 ½ career sacks in Philadelphia, Cole netted only five in 21 games as a Colt. He took a pay cut before last season and ultimately made about $11 million in his two seasons in Indy.

Nate Irving (3 years, $7.25M): made a grand total of eleven tackles in eight games (2 starts) before being placed on IR. Was surprisingly cut before last season in September.

Todd Herremans (1 year, $3.5M): made two disastrous starts during the Colts’ 0-2 start and never saw the field again. Was a healthy scratch for most of the rest of the season, and cut in December. Has not appeared in an NFL game since.
