Indianapolis' sports strategy was given a huge boost by landing the games, which were held for three weeks at venues all over the city. It certainly helped Indy build a reputation as a great event city, leading to being part of the Final Four rotation, the Big Ten basketball and football championships, and Super Bowl XLVI.
