Kravitz: Colts Should Sign Kaepernick

With Andrew Luck still on the mend, should the Colts sign Colin Kaepernick as an insurance policy? Longtime columnist Bob Kravitz thinks so:

It's indisputable that Kaepernick would be an upgrade over Scott Tolzien and Stephen Morris, but if Luck is only going to miss a game or two, is it worth inviting the controversy that comes with it? Kravitz shoots down that suggestion, pointing to his relationship with teammates in San Francisco, and the fact the Colts have guys who have been arrested for actual crimes on their roster.

Personally, I think it's worth it, but only if Andrew Luck is out for a few weeks. If Luck starts the season on PUP (has to miss first six games), then you might as well flush the season with Tolzien/Morris. But, if he's only going to miss 1-3 games, Kaepernick is worth a look to keep them afloat until #12 returns.

What do you think? Should the Colts give it a try? Leave it on our Fox Sports 97.5 Facebook page.
