Could there be night racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the near future?
IMS President Doug Boles joined us today on the show to talk about this weekend's Brickyard 400, and the topic of lights inevitably came up:
Boles went on to estimate the cost of lighting the speedway at around $25 million. That's a hefty price to pay for the track's red-headed stepchild race.
While I've been to the Brickyard dozens of times, more often than not as a paying customer, I can't tell you that it's a good race. There's very little passing/action, and erecting lights would do nothing more than make it a mediocre race at night.
What do you think? Yay or nay on lights at IMS? Leave it in our Fox Sports 97.5 Facebook page comments.
