Butler Already Interviewing Replacements

Already nearing mid-June, Butler needs to find a new head coach fast, and they aren't wasting any time in their search.

According to David Woods of the IndyStar, both current Butler assistants Terry Johnson and Ryan Pedon have already been interviewed. Barry Collier will reportedly talk to two more potential candidates next: Celtics assistant Micah Shrewsberry and Milwaukee head coach LaVall Jordan:

Shrewsberry, an Indianapolis native and Cathedral grad, was an assistant under Brad Stevens at Butler (2008-11), then became the lead assistant for Matt Painter at Purdue (2011-13), before following Stevens to Boston (2013-present). Jordan is a former Butler star, who just took over the Milwaukee program a last season, and was the runner-up to Brandon Miller as Stevens' replacement four summers ago.

Other candidates would could get a look also have ties to the program: former Butler standouts Matthew Graves (South Alabama) and Ronald Nored (D-League), and, yes, even Thad Matta.
