James Hardy was a prolific wide receiver at Indiana, but after washing out in the pros, he wasn't able to escape trouble.
The 31-year old was reportedly found deceased in a river in his hometown earlier this week:
It's obviously a tragic end for one of Indiana's best athletes of the 21st century. Hardy was a three-time All-Big Ten pick and is the Hoosiers' all time leading receiver, and played a season for the basketball team after earning Indiana All-Star honors at Elmhurst High School in Fort Wayne.
