Can we close the book on Damon Bailey's basketball career?
The 45-year old resigned from his assistant head coaching job with the Butler women's basketball program today after three seasons:
In the release from Butler, it says Bailey wants to focus on the distribution group he co-owns in his hometown of Bedford, and you have to wonder is this will be his last stop in hoops.
Bailey had a legendary high school playing career at Bedford North Lawrence high school, and was an All-American selection at Indiana. He had a brief cup of coffee with the Pacers (never appeared in an NBA game), before playing several seasons in the CBA. After retiring, he coached both the boys (briefly) and girls teams at his alma mater, winning a state championship with the BNL girls in 2014, before spending three seasons at Butler.
