What would March be without a little Madness? How's this for Mad: Tom Crean joining the SEC's worst program.
DeArmoud is a writer for Power Mizzou, the Tigers' Rivals.com affiliate. Yesterday's article lists Crean, along Chris Holtmann and Kelvin Sampson (!), among many others as possible candidates for the open job. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch also listed Crean as a potential candidate.
Barring a miracle title run in D.C. this week, Crean's ninth season at Indiana will not result in an NCAA Tournament berth. It us unknown, however, if Fred Glass will fire the beleaguered coach. Crean's contract runs through 2020, but there has long been speculation that he could walk away on his own accord.
Would he take over a once-solid Missouri program that has fallen into a crater? You'd think Crean would have better options than that, but keep an open mind.
