Now that the Jets have officially moved on from QB Aaron Rodgers, speculation over Rodgers’ future is running rampant. Covino & Rich, in for Colin Cowherd on The Herd this morning, consider which NFL teams, if any, would be a good fit for Rodgers next season and conclude that his best option may be to hold out and swoop in to be the hero for a team that will inevitably lose its QB during the season.
Rich Davis: “Inevitably a top-level starter will get hurt in the first quarter of the season, first four or five games...”
Steve Covino: “Always happens.”
Rich: “Someone will go down and there will be a team that’s like, ‘Man, we have too much talent to call it a season,’ and then Aaron Rodgers comes in to save the day and go on a playoff run.”
