The Colts say the Colts aren't for sale, but the news of the team fielding a huge offer certainly raised some eyebrows.
Reportedly, someone came to the table with $3.2 billion in hopes of purchasing the team, an offer that Jim Irsay ultimately rejected.
Despite the substantial offer, a Colts spokesperson was adamant that the team isn't for sale.
Regardless, it does make you wonder. Irsay is getting older and has dealt with health concerns, thanks in part to his substance issues in the past. There have been questions about how invested his three daughters are in running the show themselves, even if all three share Vice Chair and ownership responsibilities.
A sale of the Colts doesn't appear to be an imminent threat, but it's worth keeping an eye on.
