I know this isn't sports-related, but I'm fascinated with history - notably World War II history - and there is a big news story today that hits close to home: the USS Indianapolis has been found!
The ship was torpedoed and sunk shortly before Japan's surrender in late July of 1945. Only 317 of the 1,196 crewmen survived, and a memorial is located on the Canal Walk downtown. Finding this wreckage 60+ years later will hopefully give some more closure to the families of the victims, and the survivors, both living and passed.
