Chris Ballard made defense a priority, taking players on that side of the ball with Indy's first three selections. Here's who they nabbed last night:
Round 2, Pick 46: Florida CB Quincy Wilson
- rated by Matt Miller of Bleacher Report as the top cornerback in the entire 2017 class
- will likely come in and start right away opposite Vontae Davis as the Colts' CB2
- was an All-SEC selection as a junior last season with the Gators
- his NFL comparison is Pro Bowler Marcus Peters, who Chris Ballard took at Kansas City
- oh, he also had this great shirt:
Round 3, Pick 80: Ohio DE Tarell Basham
- projects as a 3-4 OLB for the Colts (or "EDGE" guy, as they're saying now)
- some questions about his tackling, but his has NFL-level strength already
- was the 2016 MAC Defensive Player of the Year, with a school-record 11 1/2 sacks
- here's his college highlight video:
